Meaningful Project from Teklas on Women’s Day: Purple Hope!

Teklas who is providing employment to 6,500 people globally and always prioritising gender equality in employment with 37% women employment ratio, have carried out a meaningful social responsibility project with the participation of their employees at their Turkey (Gebze and Bartın), Bulgaria, Serbia and Mexico plants, on 8th of March. In February, employees got together and built purple boxes. They then placed these boxes, which they called Purple Hope, in their facilities and asked for their employees to collect new or used clothes in these boxes for women who stayed in shelter homes and needed them. Volunteer teams collecting second-hand clothes visited shelter homes and delivered the items on March 8. As part of the project, which they called Purple Hope, more than 1,000 pieces of items were delivered to the women who stayed in the shelter homes for re-use. Sustainability was emphasized by the re-use of clothing within the scope of the Purple Hope Project, which was made possible with the volunteering of the employees.
